I am so excited that you are thinking about taking piano lessons. I've been playing piano for over 20 years and it has given my so much joy. I love to be able to share my experience with my students and help them discover how truly special it is to have music in their lives.
First things first, you have to enjoy playing the piano. I aim to make all my lessons fun and enjoyable so you want to keep playing between lessons.
I have over 20 years playing, writing and directing music and I bring this experience to all my lessons.
I believe in creating well round musicians who not only play well but also have great musicality so they can participate in all areas of music making.
Whether you're 5 or 100
I teach all ages and remember it is never too late to start.
It doesn't matter if you're a complete beginner or you've been playing for years, I will tailor lessons to suit your individual needs. The ABRSM exam grades are a great way of structuring your progression in piano, but if you do not want to sit exams or you would prefer to study other styles like Jazz, Blues or Pop, then we shall structure your lessons to let you achieve your goals whatever they may be. Making well round musicians is very important to me and playing is only one aspect of the piano. Building skills lie sight-reading, playing what you hear and improvisation will let you take part in all areas of music making like playing with other or writing music.
Get in contact today and we can start our journey together with a trial lesson where we can discuss where you are now and where you want to be.
WHAT MY STUDENTS SAY
Ollie has help me massively with my playing and given me the confidence to play in public.
My daughter has been learning with Ollie and she loves her lessons (I can't believe how much she is practicing!)
Gracie really enjoyed her lesson, thank you so much, she cannot wait until her next lesson.
